Syrinx is Hiring a Senior Automation Engineer Near Framingham, MA
Experience developing or testing public cloud-based microservices (Rest-API’s) AWS, Azure, or similar platforms within the last 24 months (at least). (AWS strongly preferred)
- Excellent coding experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages
- Deep understanding and use of APIs in large-scale distributed systems. (Must be comfortable passing a coding challenge)
- 2 years’ experience designing, implementing and executing automated test frameworks
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical domain
- Lead the efforts for enhancing the automation framework.
- Develop test scripts in the automation framework to improve coverage.
- Follow best practices and coding standards.
- Support team direction to best implement continuous integration and automated overnight build testing·
- Support all phases of the software lifecycle including requirements analysis, testing, release validation, and documentation
- Utilize test case management and issue tracking systems.
- Collaborate across the organization with a desire to teach and learn from others.
Qualifications:
- B.S in Computer Science or Equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in Python.
- 5 years of experience in software testing.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with Embedded products.
- Experience with Mobile device automation.
- Experience in building automation framework from the ground up
- Experience with JIRA, Jama, and source code management (SCM) tools (Subversion, Git, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience with Bluetooth, Wifi, or other networking protocols.
